This information package is meant for all employees of YIT and Lemminkäinen. It is meant for the situation where the planned combination of YIT and Lemminkäinen is implemented and the name of the new company is YIT.

The Finnish Market Court granted on 13 December 2017 the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (“FCCA”) an extension for investigating the planned merger until 26 January 2018. During the extended investigation, the FCCA may approve the merger as such, attach conditions to the approval or request that the Finnish Market Court prohibit the merger. Due to the granting of the extension, the merger will likely be completed on 1 February 2018, at the earliest.  

This package contains information on planned changes related to your employment and everyday work. All plans are not fully finalized, and some of them will be modified after the planned combination has taken place.

In this info package, matters concerning the employees of YIT and Lemminkäinen are grouped as follows:

• Whole YIT = YIT Group and all its subsidiaries in all operating countries
• Whole Lemminkäinen = Lemminkäinen Oyj and all its subsidiaries in all operating countries
  • Lemminkäinen’s subsidiaries in Finland = Lemminkäinen Infra Oy and Lemminkäinen Talo Oy
  • Lemminkäinen’s subsidiaries outside Finland = Lemminkäinen’s subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania
