If the planned combination is completed, Lemminkäinen Corporation will merge with YIT Corporation. After the combination the names of the subsidiaries will be unified. The use of the Lemminkäinen brand will be discontinued, and therefore the names of Lemminkäinen’s subsidiaries will be changed to begin with “YIT”.
The aim is that when the planned combination is implemented, Lemminkäinen Talo Oy will change its name to YIT Talo Oy and Lemminkäinen Infra Oy to YIT Infra Oy. In Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Russia, the processes of changing the subsidiaries’ names would begin directly after the planned combination has been implemented.
For YIT’s part, the change of name would concern the Finnish subsidiary YIT Rakennus Oy, which would change its name to YIT Suomi Oy by the end of 2018.
In the new company, appointments can only be made after the planned merger has taken place. The Board will first appoint the top management. Otherwise the schedule will be specified as the plans for the organization and practices of the new company are progressing.
After the merger you will continue in the organization and job where you were before it, reporting to the same superior. There are only a few exceptions to this in top management and support functions. The persons in question have been separately informed about the changes.
After the merger we will use only YIT’s logo and marketing materials. You can get additional information from your local communication organization.
There will be no changes to YIT’s brand or office supplies at merger.
A new YIT’s Word and PowerPoint templates will be automatically uploaded to your computer, but the presentations and documents you have made earlier will not be automatically updated. Please take the new templates into use immediately after the merger and update your presentations and documents with the new templates.
After the merger we will operate under YIT’s brand. Lemminkäinen’s logo will no longer be used, and it will be replaced with YIT’s logo. You will see this change first in working clothes, vehicles, advertising, real estate and ID badges. We have already started to prepare for these changes, and the project will continue after the merger has taken place. We will start changing the light signs of key locations after the merger has taken place.
The brand change covers also Word and PowerPoint templates, PowerPoint presentations, office supplies and business gifts. We will deliver a start package of YIT office supplies before the merger to the head offices of all operating countries and to all offices in Finland.
YIT’s Word and PowerPoint templates will be automatically uploaded to your computer, but the presentations and documents you have made earlier will not be automatically updated. Please take the new templates into use immediately after the merger and update your presentations and documents with the new templates.
Please ensure that Lemminkäinen’s logo will not be used after the merger.
After the merger we will have an advertizing campaign in various media to tell about new YIT to our customers and other stakeholders.

With Lemminkäinen, there will be new content on YIT’s web pages www.yit.fi and www.yitgroup.com. Also, three new Internet sites will be added: yit.se, yit.no and yit.dk.
Visitors to Lemminkäinen’s web pages will after the merger be redirected to YIT’s web pages www.yit.fi and www.yitgroup.com that contain information on the products and services of the new company.
After the merger, information on the products and services of the new company will be available at www.yit.ru and https://www.yitspb.ru. VALO projects will stay at www.lemminkäinen.ru.
There will be no changes in Pulse. After the merger, all Lemminkäinen’s employees who have received a YIT email address will be able to access Pulse.
If you have had a Lemminkäinen email address, you will after the merger get access to YIT’s intranet called Pulse. There will be a link to your local Lemminkäinen intranet on the front page of Pulse. Updates in Lemminkäinen’s intranets will be discontinued when the companies are combined, and you will find all topical information in Pulse. Lemminkäinen’s intranets will be closed down in 2018. The schedule will be agreed locally in the beginning of 2018
There will be no changes in YIT’s social media channels.
Lemminkäinen’s social media channels will be discontinued after the merger. Please start following also YIT’s social media channels.
